Shohei Ohtani returns to form, Oskar Sundqvist drowns the Sharks, the Astros belt four home runs and more highlights from Monday that you may have missed.

1. Oskar Sundqvist drowns Sharks

It wasn’t the game-winning goal, but Oskar Sundqvist had the dagger for the St. Louis Blues on Monday night. Sundqvist scored off a beautiful passing play by Alexander Steen and Alex Pietrangelo to put the Blues up 4-2 in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the San Jose Sharks. The Blues would win by that score, evening the series at 1-1.

The Sharks have done pretty well thus far in the playoffs after losing Game 2 at home. Let’s just assume that the Sharks win Game 7 at home after some odd referee call and save everyone the time.

2. Four more for Houston

For the second straight game, the Houston Astros lifted off. Houston hit four home runs en route to a 8-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers. It marked the second-straight four home run game for the Astros and their sixth-straight victory. They’re outscoring teams 50-12 during this run. You read that correctly: 50 to 12. Good luck on Tuesday, Detroit.

3. Ohtani back

Shohei Ohtani hasn’t been back in the Los Angeles Angels lineup for very long but he looked like his usual self on Monday, hitting his first home run since returning from Tommy John Surgery. Ohtani was 4-for-21 prior to his home run. He finished Monday’s game, a 5-4 Angels win, 2-for-3 with two walks. The Angels have been average to start the season but Ohtani returning to form could be just the boost they need.

4. Robbed by Robison

You want National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics highlights? You got National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics highlights. Kayla Robison literally crashes through the fence in order to rob Kristen Prieto of a home run. Find someone who will run through a wall and commit to you like Robison committed to that ball on Monday.

5. JJ shines in preseason

The WNBA preseason is underway and 2018 Sixth Woman of the Year Jonquel Jones had 19 points as the Connecticut Sun rolled on the New York Liberty. If you want more Sun(s) vs. New York action, the NBA Draft Lottery is Tuesday night. And the WNBA season officially tips off on May 24.
