Welcome to NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Friday night’s Gander Outdoors Truck Series race from Charlotte Motor Speedway! Last week was a crazy and exciting race that saw Stewart Friesen run out of gas while in the lead with 3 laps left allowing Ross Chastain to swoop in and get the win. With his 7th place finish Grant Enfinger was able to maintain his lead in the point standings.

This week Kyle Busch is back in the series for his 5th, and final race in this series on Friday. Even at his exorbitant price ($16,000) he is probably going to be a chalky play, and he might be a must play if you want to have a chance at a big pay day. Kyle will most likely lead the most laps and will also most likely end up with his 5th win this season in the truck series. I will be rostering him, but I won’t waste your time breaking him down for you, but instead I will be trying to find you drivers to roster with him to get a winning lineup hopefully.

NASCAR DFS – Leaders of the Pack

Brett Moffitt ($11,400)

Avg Finishing Position : 9.1

If you want to fade Busch, which I would only do in tournaments, Brett Moffitt would be my favorite option. Moffit has 5 top 10 finishes in the last 6 races, including 4 top 5’s. Moffit has led at least 4 laps in each of the last 3 races.

Ross Chastain ($9,300)

Avg Finishing Position : 5.9

Last weeks winner has been the best full-time driver in the Truck series this season with a top 10 finish in all 7 races. Chastain has been averaging 52.5 DKFP this season and is actually affordable considering how well he has driven this season. I plan on using Chastain with Busch this week since his price allows me to roster them together with a couple of back of the pack drivers.

NASCAR DFS – Middle of the Pack

Timothy Peters ($8,900)

Avg Finishing Position : 9.7

Peters has only run 3 races this season, but has 2 top 10’s and a 12th place finish in his 3rd race. In his 3 races Peters has had some trouble qualifying, with his highest starting positioning only being 14th. If Peters has another poor qualifying run on Friday he could be a great low owned play.

Tyler Dippel ($7,900)

Avg Finishing Position : 16.9

Dippel, like Peters, is a great play if qualifies poorly, which is what he typically does. In 7 races this season, Dippel has not qualified higher than 15th, but has finished with a positive place differential in 5 of the 7 races this season.

NASCAR DFS – Back of the Pack

Tyler Ankrum ($7,300)

Avg Finishing Position : 11.3

Ankrum has 3 straight finishes of 11th or better, and has an average of 33.3 DKFP per race. While he doesn’t have a poor average point total per race, Ankrum does qualify well which hurts him as a place differential play. I will still consider Ankrum based on his good finishes and average points per race, but if he has a poor qualifying run and good practice times (checkut MRN.com later today to check these times out) he will become a lock for me.

More from FanSided

Angela Rauch ($6,600)

Avg Finishing Position : 17.5

Rauch is one of my favorite plays in this price tier because she runs laps and finishes every race. This will be her 5th race and in her first 4 this season Rauch has only finished lower than 16th once. Rauch will most likely qualify in the mid 20’s but finish inside the top 20 and could end up being the best play in this tier.

Anthony Bilicki ($5,900)

Avg Finishing Position : 18th

Bilicki ran his first truck series race last week and came home with an 18th place finish. Even though he didn’t lead any laps or have any fast laps, Bilicki still came home with 33 DKFP thanks to his plus 7 place differential, I will take that every week for this price.

Jennifer Jo Cobb ($5,200)

Avg Finishing Position : 23.0

Cobb is much like Angela Rauch where as she runs clean and finishes every race. This season Cobb has a positive place differential in all 5 races she has run in this season. If we get a qualifying position in the late 20’s like where she typically ends up Cobb will be a lock for my teams as well.
