4. De’Andre Hunter, Forward, Virginia

There is almost no doubt that De’Andre Hunter will be on the board when the Knicks go on the clock. While Hunter only averaged 15.2 points per game last season, he really showed off his full superstar potential in the NCAA National Championship game, scoring 27 points and racking up 9 rebounds. While he may not be Zion Williamson, Hunter has the ability to develop into a strong player.

If the Knicks feel very comfortable about their chances at signing Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in free agency, it could push them to look for another strong forward who can not only score, but can defend both the small forward and power forward position. If Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant both want to come to the Knicks, they both would probably feel very comfortable sharing the court with Hunter, knowing that he is a very mature player and strong defender would give them an idea that the Knicks are really dedicated to winning now.

While De’Andre Hunter will most likely not be the pick here for the Knicks, it would be interesting to see him suit up in a Knicks uniform. Hunter has the potential to end up having one of the better careers out of this entire NBA draft class.
