1. Trade for Anthony Davis

Even though there were rumors that the Knicks would potential think about moving the first pick in the draft to acquire the services of Anthony Davis, it was more than likely that they would use that pick to take Zion Williamson. However, now that they sit at the third selection, it gives them more of a reason to do whatever they can and include this pick to acquire the services of Davis from New Orleans.

The Pelicans won the lottery but word was leaked, likely by Davis’ camp, almost immediately that he still wasn’t interested in staying in New Orleans. The Knicks should try to do whatever they can to get their hands on him. Their third pick will certainly be needed to be included in whatever package they put together but it would be more than worth it. Not only will Anthony Davis completely transform the Knicks franchise by himself, it could work in helping even more superstar free agents consider joining Davis in New York. They could even try to sell the Pelicans on having the opportunity to draft R.J. Barrett and have him play alongside Williamson as they begin the new stages of their franchise.

In the best-case scenario, the Knicks would be able to trade for Anthony Davis and have him play alongside Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in the 2019 season. Not only would this make them an immediate contender to win the NBA Championship, but it would certainly ease the pain from losing out on Zion Williamson in the draft lottery.
