There’s been a lot of personnel change for the New England Patriots this offseason. Who are their five players who need to be great in 2019?

Just like that, the bulk of the NFL offseason has come and gone. Free agency and the NFL Draft have both resulted in many new faces in new places. Both have provided us with a decent understanding on how coaches will fill out and utilize their roster in 2019.

Bill Belichick is the master of roster utilization. He knows who can, and cannot, do the job, and he puts players in positions to constantly succeed.

The legendary coach will have to do that again this season as he tries to put together yet another Super Bowl winning team. The New England Patriots took down the Los Angeles Rams to claim last season’s title, and defending that championship is their No. 1 goal.

Belichick and company will be without some key players from that Super Bowl team. Rob Gronkowski has retired, Trent Brown and Trey Flowers signed massive contracts in free agency, and role players like Malcom Brown, Chris Hogan and Eric Rowe also jumped ship in the open market.

However, Belichick still added in free agency and nabbed some potential starters in the draft. Of course, he still has the luxury of having one of the best gunslingers of all time under center as well.

But as Tom Brady gets older and new names try to find their way onto the team, who are the five players that need to be great for the Patriots in 2019?
