The Arkansas Razorbacks slipped up on the road against Texas A&M. After falling flat against the Aggies, Arkansas dropped down to No. 5 in the FanSided Top 25 college baseball rankings.

There wasn’t too much of a shakeup in the top five of the FanSided Top 25 college baseball rankings this past weekend, but there still was some movement. The Arkansas Razorbacks, thanks to two lackluster performances on the road against Texas A&M, fell from No. 3 to No. 5.

Arkansas dropping allowed Mississippi State to climb up to No. 4 and Vanderbilt to move to No. 3. Stanford still sits at No. 2 and UCLA is still at the top of the top 25 college baseball rankings heading into the conference tournaments.

Here’s what things look like at the end of the regular season:

Teams on the rise

Vanderbilt and Mississippi State are the two most notable movers this week. The Commodores and the Bulldogs both jumped past Arkansas after the Razorbacks fell short on the road against Texas A&M.

These three teams represent a ridiculous amount of talent and depth sitting in the SEC at the moment. There’s probably an argument to be made for having the three of them tied in the rankings at the moment as all three of these teams are so closely matched in terms of talent at the top of their conference. One slight slip up from Arkansas this week allows for Vanderbilt and Mississippi State to move up slightly.

Other teams that have improved lately: Indiana (won the Big Ten regular season title), Louisville (swept Florida State), and LSU (won a series against Auburn).

Teams sliding down

The Missouri Tigers hit a rough stretch to end the regular season and were swept by the Florida Gators this past weekend. That means that Mizzou has lost its last four games, dropping them right out of the rankings this week.

If the Tigers want to regain some recognition, they’ll have a chance to do that in the SEC tournament, but their first opponent is Ole Miss. That won’t be an easy win for Mizzou.

However, Ole Miss just took a series loss as well, dropping the first two games of their series against the Tennessee Vols. That series loss puts the Rebels on the verge of falling right out of the rankings as well.

Other teams that have struggled lately: Michigan (lost a series against the Nebraska Cornhuskers) and Baylor (lost two games at Oklahoma State).
