All hail the Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who delivered a sterling Game 2 performance at home. His incredible night and everything else you missed this weekend.

1. Off the backboard and straight back down

Considering how young Antetokounmpo is and that he grew up in Athens, far, far away from any NBA basketball, pulling off an old-school move like this is just bananas. In the very best way.

2. Giannis stays filthy

It’s hard to think or care about anything else when Antetokounmpo is wreaking havoc like this. Few sports allow for one athlete to blow up the entire game in the way the Greek Freak does, and when he does, you have to just sit back and watch.

3. Kawhi Leonard answers the call

We can’t move on from the Eastern Conference Finals in the NBA without reminding you that yes, the Raptors did indeed win Game 3. It hasn’t just been re-runs of the Giannis Show. Leonard is a worthy challenger.

4. Barbashev starts off Game 4

I’m not the biggest hockey fan but holy hell is it not exhilarating when someone scores within the first minute of a period in a NHL playoff game. It sucks the air out of the arena and scorches the opponent with pressure.

5. Jonquel Jones ready to challenge for WNBA MVP

The WNBA season starts next weekend and the Sun are ready to break through to the semifinals for the first time with this core. Jonquel Jones made 5 of 5 threes including the smooth transition bomb above and looks like she could be a top WNBA MVP candidate this season in Connecticut.

6. Brooks gets to four before 30

Following a nice Sunday at Augusta last month, Brooks Koepka defended his crown at the U.S. Open with this putt.

7. Bogaerts takes it home for Boston in battle of giants

OK, the Red Sox might not classify as giants this year. But certainly Houston vs. Boston is as hyped an American League matchup as any even during the Red Sox’s .500 swoon. Xander Bogaerts got it done against the Astros with a monster double in the gap.

8. Acuna says ‘good afternoon and good night’

We could watch this young man swing a bat all day, every day.

9. Yelich outpaces everyone with No. 19

The 2018 National League MVP is on a mission to be even better this season, and certainly his 19 home runs in 49 games is remarkable, putting him on pace for nearly 60 on the year.
