The LSU football schedule sets up nicely for Ed Orgeron’s team to make some noise in the SEC. Here’s a game-by-game prediction for the Tigers in 2019.

The LSU Tigers have high aspirations heading into the 2019 season. Looking to build off a 10-win season in 2018, the Tigers are primed for success under head coach Ed Orgeron and will factor into the SEC discussion after finishing as the sixth-ranked team this past year.

The 2018 season was about as rock solid as the Tigers could have hoped for. Their three losses came against ranked opponents twice and the other was a seven-overtime loss on the road against Texas A&m.

LSU won its first five games of the season and despite some criticism, Orgeron had his program guided in the right direction. Joe Burrow proved to be the steady hand at quarterback the Tigers needed him to be.

Perhaps, the most impressive facet of the Tigers’ season was the fact they claimed four victories over top-10 opponents in a single season.  The biggest, of course, coming at home in a 36-16 romp of Georgia at home.

LSU earned itself an invitation to take on No. 7 UCF in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale.  With the Knights missing quarterback McKenzie Milton, the Tigers did as they were supposed to and rolled to a 40-32 victory.

The question now is where do the Tigers go from here? Burrow is returning at quarterback and the offense should be in good hands again. However, LSU is going to need its new defensive starters to step up.  Devin White and Greedy Williams were both taken early in the NFL Draft as expected.

Can the defense with new faces get up to speed early? Life is always tough in the SEC and can be wildly unpredictable at times. With high hopes on the horizon, here’s an early prediction of the Tigers’ upcoming schedule.
