3. Napheesa Collier — Minnesota Lynx

The Minnesota Lynx recently announced that Napheesa Collier will be switching positions from power forward to small forward, something she has not been accustomed to in her time playing at UConn. Despite this, Collier still has a chance to make a positive impact on a Lynx team that will be without their star Maya Moore this season.

Moore is actually the perfect example of what the Lynx are trying to achieve with Collier, when Moore was in college she too excelled at the power forward position, but once drafted by Minnesota it was decided her skill set would be better served on the wing. If that’s any indication of what Collier can become then there should be no concerns about her making that jump. After all, Collier did lead the Huskies in scoring last season putting up 20 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Collier might not get the start immediately, learning a new position will be a tall task that will likely take all season to adjust to, however with a Maya Moore-size hole that the Lynx need to fill, it feels as though Collier is the natural fit to step into that role and learn quickly.
