No, it isn’t as exciting as a game-winning shot in basketball, or a last-second field-goal/touchdown in football. Heck, it isn’t even as exciting as an overtime goal in hockey; but the walk-off should never be written out of the script, especially when Javy Baez is at the plate for the Chicago Cubs.

For 49 years, the St. Louis Blues has always been the bridesmaid, but never the bride. It looked like it would continue when they ran into the buzzsaw that was the San Jose Sharks, but this Blues team was determined.

They were determined to walk down to the altar and get married to the Stanley Cup Final. That they did, pushing aside the powerful Sharks en route to their first-ever Stanley Cup FInal appearance in team history. No, there is no play to show at No. 7, just a shot at some jubilant and long-waiting Blues fans letting all of the emotion go.
