Picking every game on the Stanford football schedule for the 2019 season. Can David Shaw lead the Cardinal back to the Rose Bowl?

While the Pac-12 has been a revolving door of ineptitude and disappointment for quite some time, the Stanford Cardinal have been one of the rare models of consistency. David Shaw has been the steady hand that constantly guided his program to great seasons.

In 2019, the Cardinal are hoping they can improve on last year’s nine-win season and make a run at the Pac-12 crown. It could be their toughest test in a few years as the Pac-12 North has a few worthy challengers to the conference crown.

On the outside looking in, Stanford’s four losses all came to quality opponents. Simply put, the Cardinal were a few plays from being Pac-12 North champs and playing in the Rose Bowl.

They lose a big playmaker in J.J. Arcega-Whiteside this season but senior quarterback K.J. Costello continues to guide the team.

Here’s how the Cardinal could fare in 2019.
