2. RB Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys

There has been a bump or two along the way when it comes to the three-year playing career of Dallas Cowboys’ running back Ezekiel Elliott. In 2017, he eventually served a six-game suspension due to a violation of the NFL’s conduct policy. And after another recent incident in Las Vegas involving a security guard at a concert, Yahoo! Sports’ Charles Robinson recently reported that this situation involving the talented performer is “likely” to be reviewed by the league.

As for on the field (when available), Elliott has been incredibly productive. As a rookie in 2016, as well as this past season, he finished with the most rushing yards in the league. He finished his debut campaign with 1,631 yards on the ground and ran for 15 scores. He racked up a total of 1,994 yards from scrimmage despite sitting out the final week of the regular season. Then came 2017 and the six-game suspension. Elliott still ran for 983 yards in 10 games and totaled a combined nine touchdowns rushing and receiving.

This past season, he claimed his second NFL rushing title in three years. There were 1,434 yards on the ground and a career-best 2,001 yards from scrimmage. Elliott hauled in a personal-high 77 passes for 567 yards and three TDs. It’s fairly to say that the 23-year-old performer has been the league’s best running back over the past three seasons.
