Ozan Kabak

Benjamin Pavard is headed to Bayern Munich after agreeing to join the Bavarian giants prior to the 2018-2019 Bundesliga season, as he set the World Cup alight for champions France. However, Pavard wasn’t even VFB Stuttgart’s best player last season in a year when they were relegated from the Bundesliga after losing in the playoff to Union Berlin. No, the best defender – and player – on Stuttgart last season was Bundesliga Rookie of the Year Ozan Kabak.

As such, Kabak, who is only 19, has received widespread interest from bigger clubs in Europe. Kabak is a good bet to leave Stuttgart now that they have been relegated to the 2. Bundesliga, and Arsenal could be a great landing spot for the promising Turkish international.

The former Galatasaray star is on Arsenal’s radar and has a mere 15 million euro release clause from Stuttgart. This would make him the easiest center back to sign, and he is comparable in quality to the aforementioned Saliba. At a fraction of the cost, Kabak has to be the better target for Arsenal if he’s interested in a move to London.

There could be competition for his signature, but Arsenal would be an attractive option for Kabak to take that next step in his promising career. Kabak impressed Bundesliga observers with his consistent performances. He’s tough, strong in the air, and has quality on the ball as a passer. Even at the age of 19, Kabak looks like a steadier player than Mustafi, and Arsenal fans would fall in love with his willingness to get physical with any forward.
