The Toronto Raptors are NBA Champions, The Los Angeles Angels have a historic night, and more highlights from the night of June 13.

Raptors win NBA Title

It’s a GIF but it says 1,000 words. Actual emotion from Kawhi Leonard. Kyle Lowry exercising his demons. Two guys who barely knew each other a year ago coming together for the ultimate goal of winning a title. Just amazing to watch. Congrats, Toronto.

Ohtani makes history

Shohei Ohtani made history on Thursday night, becoming the first Japanese-born player to hit for the cycle. It’s the first cycle an for an Angels player since 2013 when Mike Trout achieved the feat. Not even a power outage at Tropicana Field could slow down Ohtani.

Pujols makes his own history

While he may have been outdone by Ohtani, Albert Pujols made a little history of his own, becoming the sixth player in history to hit 200 home runs with two different teams and the seventh player to his 200 home runs in both leagues. Albert Pujols is timeless and we should never forget it.

Leury fights and wins

Leury Garcia fell behind 0-2 and battled off a couple of foul balls before hitting what turned out to be the game-winning home run in the 7th inning against the Yankees. Some are calling it the best at-bat of the year. I just want to know what took him so long.

Lopez comes home

Playing at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Kansas City Royals second baseman Nicky Lopez slugged his first career home run. Lopez played his college ball at the same stadium so he had a pretty unfair advantage. The Tigers should protest.
