Here are some scenes from The Office as a representation of the 2018-2019 NBA season.

The 2018-19 NBA season was a rollercoaster ride that ended with the Toronto Raptors winning their first championship behind Kawhi Leonard’s dynamic play during the postseason. He became the first player to lead the playoffs in points, steals and rebounds since Larry Bird.

That’s nice company.

Free agency starts soon, and so now seems like the perfect moment to reflect on what happened this year. Fortunately, a good Samaritan named Ross Litscher on YouTube created a video featuring scenes from The Office that depict how certain franchises are probably feeling right not.

The best part of this is the beginning where Michael Scott is Anthony Davis and Toby is the New Orleans Pelicans.

The mutual hatred is palpable in both situations.

The Pelicans are going to be just fine, though. Zion Williamson will make them quite a lot of money, and they were able to get multiple draft picks out of the Davis trade. They even opened up enough cap room to go after a marquee free agent.

The Phoenix Suns driving directly into a lake is pretty hilarious too, and Scott getting elbowed in the face as the Golden State Warriors during The Office basketball game is awesome.

The Los Angeles Lakers fire scene and New York Knicks suicidal moment is comedy gold as well. Dwight Schrute as Kyrie Irving quitting on the Boston Celtics bears mentioning too.

Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson sort of control this offseason, which is bizarre since two of them won’t play for at least 10 months. The NBA has never been more exciting, though, and the regular season can’t come soon enough. The Office will have to entertain us all until then.
