1. Kawhi Leonard — L.A. Clippers

Who else was going to be the number one impactful signing of this year’s free agency hoopla?

It’s safe to say that Kawhi Leonard was going to have a Thor-like impact wherever he signed, and the winner of the Kawhi Sweepstakes would have a legitimate argument of being the top contender for the 2019-20 NBA crown.

The Clippers won out, and Kawhi will, no doubt, have a seismic impact not just with the Clippers, but on the NBA landscape of Los Angeles. The Clippers were already a borderline 50-win team with Leonard, and now with him, the Clippers are looking to finally break through.

The Clippers already had the pieces there to be a good team. They just needed a player who could lift them to the next level, and Kawhi Leonard is definitely the player that will do just that. Leonard is the guy who can make the clutch shots when it matters the most, and along with Paul George and Montrez Harrell, the Clippers could easily field the best defensive team in franchise history.

There is no understatement to be made about how much of an impact Kawhi Leonard will take on the Clippers. He made them a championship contender for the foreseeable future, and that’s a huge impact in and of itself.
