Helenius came back in round 2 with a quick left-right combination. He started to utilize his long jab, and his right hand found the mark on several occasions. Washington escaped well when trapped in the corner, but it was a much better round for the ‘Nordic Nightmare.’

The third was quiet to start. Helenius pawed with his jab. Washington tried to swing for the fences several times but missed badly, but he would connect.

Washington wasn’t supposed to win that fight. He lost three of his last four, but he found something special when he needed it most. It’s either that or Helenius is a shot fighter. Maybe it’s a combination of both, but Washington’s story continues and Helennius’s could be ending. It was a beautiful KO by Washington, but a sad end for Helenius.
