Welcome into the first Fantasy Football Player Profile, featuring Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams!  Let’s look at how he could finish in 2019!

Fantasy Football season is closer than you think, so to get you prepared we’re going to be doing individual player profiles through the next few weeks! We’ll be recapping the 2018 season, looking at potential best and worst-case scenarios, and see what a dynasty outlook could be.

This is the fun part because I want you to get involved. I’m just picking players as things stand, but don’t be afraid to reach out on Twitter to me @bucn4life or tag me on the @fantasycpr account to let me know who you want to see next!

Davante Adams, 2018 Recap

The default setting for these profiles is going to be half-point PPR, so we’ll not if there’s a bump up or down in other formats as we go. Adams enjoyed his career season last year, scoring the second-most receiving touchdowns and flirting with 1,200 yards receiving.

The targets were there as he co-led with Julio Jones at 178 total and sixth in receptions on the season. That was good for the WR4 but he and Antonio Brown tied for the lead in FPPG(fantasy points per game) and he’s being drafted inside the top 10 as the WR2. He does have a bit of a mystery bag at coach, as Matt LaFleur comes in from the Tennessee Titans.

LaFleur has been an offensive coordinator with the Rams and the Titans for a year each. With the Rams, they finished 10th in yards and sixth in passing touchdowns. The Titans were 29th and 28th, but the talent levels were far apart. It’s safe to say Rodgers is easily the best quarterback he’s had.

Dynasty Outlook

It’s tough to go buy players coming off a career season. I would make an exception if you can get Adams at a reasonable(and high) cost just to get a piece of the Green Bay passing game. Adams is only 26 and Rodgers should have at minimum 3-4 years of elite production left. He’s not a favorite target, but it also never hurts to ask.
