DraftKings MLB picks July 20: Build around pitching on all slates

The DraftKings MLB tournaments today are kind of a mess. There are three early games, so those make up the early DraftKings tournament. Fair enough. Detroit and Tampa are starting an hour earlier than the rest of the prime time games, so they were left off of the main slate and are their own turbo DraftKings MLB slate. That leaves ten games for the main DraftKings MLB tournaments. It’s kind of a mess.

More from DraftKings

Rain: Chicago(very slight in late innings), Detroit(slight; increasing as game goes on), Pittsburgh(very slight), Minneapolis(slight; decreasing as game goes on), Cleveland(slight), Atlanta(slight)

Wind: 12 mph out to right in Cleveland, 12 mph out to center in Houston, 12 mph in from right in Detroit

Hot/Humid: New York(very hot), Chicago(miserably hot and humid), San Francisco(humid), Detroit(both), Pittsburgh(both), Baltimore(both), Cincinnati(both), Houston(both), Minneapolis(humid), Cleveland(both), Atlanta(humid), Phoenix(hell on earth hot)

The heat wave is still rampant in the eastern two thirds of the country. That creates a lot of great hitting places across all slates today. Chicago in particular could be a hitter’s paradise if they don’t pass out from heat exhaustion.

These tips are based mostly on past performance. This is a nice tool for building a lineup, but should not be the only pieces of information you use. We have plenty of writers on here who give you relevant information no matter which site you play on, and we all attack the slate from different angles.
