Ranking the 50 most visually-appealing college football uniforms
By Zach Bigalke
In the shadow of the Flatirons resides one of the most stylishly attired teams in college football. Since moving west to the Pac-12 in 2011, Colorado has fit right in among their well-heeled counterparts in the conference. They have a color scheme that sets them apart from the rest of the league.
The Buffaloes logo, modeled after one of the best live mascots in any sport anywhere around the globe, cuts a striking image regardless of which helmet they choose. That is what sets Colorado a cut above other teams in college football. For their four uniform combinations, they have a matching helmet to complete the look.
The classic black jerseys and gold pants of the traditional home garb are topped with the classic gold helmet with the black Buffaloes logo. They have an all-white road look that goes with a white helmet. Another iteration matches a black helmet with black pants and a white jersey with black sleeves and accents.
Perhaps the most stylish recent introduction to the Buffaloes wardrobe, though, is their all-silver look. Honoring a school color that often gets overlooked, Colorado introduced the silver pants, jerseys, and helmets in 2015 in partnership with Nike. Few teams are as well coordinated as Colorado on the football field.
