North Carolina’s signature blue is more famous for its appearances on the basketball court, but it also translates into some truly sleek football uniforms. The Tar Heels keep a relatively simple look, letting their school colors do the heavy lifting in the style department. As a whole, it makes for one of the most visually appealing looks in college football.

In what feels like a natural move, the Nike school has taken on the Jumpman brand of famous alumnus Michael Jordan. As a result, we have seen more incorporation of alternate colors. North Carolina has utilized black and navy jerseys in their alternate look in recent years to great effect.

While traditionalists have scoffed at any move away from Carolina blue and white, it has allowed North Carolina to develop a broader wardrobe. The incorporation of the argyle pattern in the accents on pants and jerseys is another nice touch that integrates the football team’s look with the other intercollegiate sports programs on campus.

Among their ACC brethren, North Carolina stands out as one of the most impeccably attired teams in the conference. From head to toe, their willingness to remain committed to displaying the school colors without being attached to a specific way of doing so has allowed them to develop one of the greatest uniforms in the game.
