Few teams have a logo that can come anywhere close to standing up to East Carolina’s skull and crossbones. And given that they have such a spectacular logo, it is no wonder that the Pirates incorporate it so consistently and so unabashedly into their uniform designs. In all their wardrobe iterations, the Pirates are one of the best-dressed teams in college football

In addition to incorporating the skull and bones on the helmet and the shoulders of their jerseys, they also have unique markings on their pants. While some teams have stripes down the legs, East Carolina utilizes crossed bones and crossed cutlasses in place of stripes.

Since their switch from Nike to Adidas in 2016, East Carolina has continued to up their uniform game. Even their rush job was a solid effort, a black jersey with gold numbering and purple outlining and purple lettering with gold outlining. The transposition of main and accent colors between letters and numbers makes for a fun twist to the look.

The Pirates do a great job of mixing and matching their use of the school colors, purple and gold, as well as mixing in black and white in varying degrees. And with such a great logo, they will always look fierce on the football field.
