Can Juventus and Bayern Munich repeat as league champions?

Juventus tied a record in winning its eighth consecutive Serie A championship, clinching the top-flight this past spring with five games left to go. Ditto for Bayern Munich, who edged out Borussia Dortmund to capture their seventh straight Bundesliga title.

Both teams have made winning their respective domestic leagues look easy. While both clubs feature rosters loaded with superstars, the league isn’t what they want to win each year. The Champions League has remained elusive for both teams the past few years. That’s what they aim to win next spring.

For Juve, the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo gave the side a superstar striker with plenty of international experience. Considered one of the best players in the world, Ronaldo was signed to help them win the Champions League, not beat out Napoli for the league.

Can both clubs win yet another league championship? Certainly? Can either capture the Champions League? That remains a much-tougher challenge.
