SEC football teams as told through the haiku. This has to be the first time Japanese poetry has been used to describe SEC football teams.

I was out to dinner with my co-workers when one of them brought up a local dive bar was having a poetry night. I joked I could throw out some haikus if we wanted to go there after dinner. We never went to that dive bar and I didn’t get to throw out my haiku. So I just had to save them for this space where I wrote a haiku for all 14 SEC football teams.

I’ve always wanted to say I was a published poet on my dating profile and now I can.

If you don’t remember learning about haiku in grade school, it’s a form of Japanese poetry that is a total of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five.
