MLB DFS Pitching Plays

Wade Miley – He has a 4.37 xFIP 20.5% K rate, 52.3% GB rate, and 38.7% HC. Wade will be getting a rematch with the Mariners, in which he had a very mediocre game against them in June. Seattle against LHP has a 27% K rate, .172 ISO, but only 35% GB, and 34% HC. Seeing five projected LHH really helps Miley since he has an increased K rate on that side, and better contact numbers.

Pitch Mix – Wade is very cutter heavy, using it around 48% of the time, he increased the change usage this year to 22%, mixing in the curve, and fastball. That change has been great whiffs all year at over 40%, and his fastball surprisingly has been around 30% recently. While the cutter doesn’t generate many strikeouts, it does generate a lot of GB at 60%.

His change, and fastball are over 50% as well with the curve being up and down between 30-80%. Good horizontal movement around eight-nine inches on the change, and also five inches of vertical movement, making that his best pitch. I expect him to have a solid game here, around 40 FD points.
