Bayley

Current SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley may be best friends with Banks in real life but their on-screen history together has been tumultuous at best. Before joining forces as the Boss n’ Hug connection to become the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Banks and Bayley had a heated rivalry. Their matches in NXT will go down as some the most classic women’s matches of all time. The in-ring chemistry they have is a testament to their work ethic and is a direct reflection of their friendship.

But as storylines go, Banks has stabbed Bayley in the back countless times with Bayley retaliating in what many thought would be the start of a classic rivalry on the main roster. Instead we got therapy sessions which led to the now defunct Boss n’ Hug Connection. With Banks out of the picture, Bayley has moved on to enjoy a resurgence in her singles career where she won the second-annual women’s Money in the Bank ladder match and the SmackDown Women’s Championship in one night.

As champion, Bayley has re-invented herself from the loveable hugger to showcase what fans in NXT saw: a fighting champion with guts and skill. This is something a heel version of Banks wouldn’t appreciate. The fact that Bayely moved on to all this success while Banks waited in the wings is enough to fuel a fiery feud. Even if Banks is relegated to Raw while Bayley is on SmackDown, the two have plenty of chances to cross paths and if they do it would be much more intriguing to have Banks face her as a heel.
