DraftKings MLB picks August 8: Former aces for Sale

It has been a long time since we’ve had a normal DraftKings MLB slate on a Thursday. All eight MLB games are in the evening. There are no day games and no weird start times. Kind of nice, huh? There are a few aces, some priced as aces, a stacked middle tier, and not much for bargains. That makes it a little difficult to build. Will the weather add to that?

More from FanSided

Rain: Cincinnati(very slight), Miami(slight), Boston(very slight in later innings)

Wind: 14 mph out to left center in San Francisco, 14 mph out to left in Detroit, 15 mph in from left in Toronto.

Hot/Humid: Cincinnati(both), Miami(both), Boston(humid), San Francisco(humid), San Diego(humid)

The roof will likely be closed in Miami due to the heat and humidity. Cincinnati has the best hitting weather out there. Pop up showers could happen, but they seem to be few and far between, and wont cause any postponements.

The day slate went fairly well thanks to K King Cole, Gingergaard, and a few one off plays. I had a failed Cleveland stack and too much exposure to Tyler Alexander and not enough Nova to really make a profit though. The night slate was a disaster thanks to no Urshela and Trevor Williams throwing batting practice.

These tips are based mostly on past performance. This is a nice tool for building a lineup, but should not be the only pieces of information you use. We have plenty of writers on here who give you relevant information no matter which site you play on, and we all attack the slate from different angles.

Thunder Dan uses advanced metrics. Lumberjack uses a lot of pitch data. Tulloch uses a lot of leverage plays. Joe Metz and Juan Bond give you all the value plays. Between all of us, you can build a beast of a lineup on any site!
