The Big Dog could face one of two WWE Superstars this Sunday at SummerSlam

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns was the subject of two mysterious attacks, two weeks in a row on SmackDown Live and Monday Night Raw. This week, it was his goal to determine who was behind the attacks and to get an apology. In an exclusive interview, Reigns apologized to Samoa Joe for the accusations that Joe was behind them.

But he also vowed to find out who it was, and later that night he confronted Buddy Murphy, a former 205 Live champion, who was seen at the first incident. After an altercation, Murphy finally admitted it was Rowan who dropped the scaffolding on Reigns. Reigns took to Twitter to address the issue:

However, Murphy also took to Twitter after SmackDown ended:

Reigns responded:

So now the question becomes, who will face Reigns at SummerSlam on Sunday? Originally it was predicted to be Daniel Bryan, but now it looks as if it could be either Rowan or Murphy.

Rowan and Murphy are two very different beasts for Reigns to prepare for. Rowan is brute strength, force and menace. Murphy is smaller, faster, more agile and will fly off the ropes as needed. Whichever man faces the Big Dog will have his work cut out for him, as Reigns has a score to settle with them both.

If it’s Rowan, the match will be about power and strength. Reigns has the edge on agility and speed, but if Rowan catches him by the throat, Reigns is going to suffer. Still, Reigns has the ability to come out on top by moving around the ring and understanding that a single spear or Superman punch isn’t going to be enough to put the big man down.

If it’s Murphy, the matchup becomes a little more difficult for Reigns. Murphy is tough, he’s fearless and he wants to prove he belongs. He’s more agile and faster than Roman, which will make it difficult for the Big Dog to land one of his signature moves. The difference here is that if he does land a spear or Superman punch, it’s much less likely that Murphy will get back up.

Either match will be fun to watch, and any of the three men have an opportunity to walk away with the win. Now we just have to wait and see what the WWE does with this whole situation on Sunday in Toronto.
