DraftKings MLB picks August 9: A snake in Chavez Ravine

We have another monster Friday with 14 games in our DraftKings MLB main tournaments. There is a matinee in Chicago today, but it’s not the Cubs. It’s the A’s and White Sox. No, it’s not part of a doubleheader either. Why should the Cubbies have all the fun, right? At least we aren’t missing out on any good pitching because of it.

More from FanSided

Rain: Miami(slight), Seattle(very slight)

Wind: 15 mph in from left in Toronto

Hot/Humid: Miami(both), St Louis(humid), San Diego(humid), Seattle(humid), San Francisco(humid)

It’s a great night for baseball besides Miami, but they will just close the roof. Not hot temperatures. Only humid in the west coast cities where it normally is. Get out and enjoy these! After you set your DraftKings lineups, of course.

The Sale/MadBum line was a smashing success, and my Royals/Marlins hybrid stack placed as well despite a bust from Keuchel. Too much exposure to Keuchel and Nola hurt the bottom line.

These tips are based mostly on past performance. This is a nice tool for building a lineup, but should not be the only pieces of information you use. We have plenty of writers on here who give you relevant information no matter which site you play on, and we all attack the slate from different angles.

Thunder Dan uses advanced metrics. Lumberjack uses a lot of pitch data. Tulloch uses a lot of leverage plays. Joe Metz and Juan Bond give you all the value plays. Between all of us, you can build a beast of a lineup on any site!
