DraftKings MLB picks August 12: Get crazy with Lucchesi

It’s a lighter Monday with eight games for our DraftKings MLB slate. The Orioles and Yankees are playing a doubleheader in the Bronx, so be on the lookout for added value in the nightcap. Not that we need it. The pitching outlook is pretty bleak tonight.

More from FanSided

Rain: Toronto(very slight), Cleveland(very slight), Chicago(high), Denver(very slight)

Wind: NONE

Hot/Humid: Washington(both), Toronto(humid), Cleveland(humid), Chicago(humid), Los Angeles(humid), San Diego(very humid)

This will likely end up a seven game slate. Rain is likely in Chicago and wont stop until after midnight. Keep an eye on the forecast here. There is virtually no chance pitching is safe in that game. The best hitting weather is in Washington.

Rolling the dice with Brault stifled the afternoon lineup. I hit on pitching with the afternoon lineup with Ryu and Yarbrough, but struck out with a Rays/Dodgers stack. I had a good score, but not enough Rockies

These tips are based mostly on past performance. This is a nice tool for building a lineup, but should not be the only pieces of information you use. We have plenty of writers on here who give you relevant information no matter which site you play on, and we all attack the slate from different angles.

Thunder Dan uses advanced metrics. Lumberjack uses a lot of pitch data. Tulloch uses a lot of leverage plays. Joe Metz and Juan Bond give you all the value plays. Between all of us, you can build a beast of a lineup on any site!
