Each off-season the NFL landscape changes dramatically with every coaching change across the league.  This past season eight NFL head coaches were terminated, while an additional seven NFL teams made changes at offensive coordinator. How does that impact your Fantasy Football plays?

With 46 percent of the league changing offensive systems this off-season, I am going to breakdown each of these new Offensive Coordinator play-callers, their tendencies and how it will impact each team this coming season, and how it will impact your Fantasy Football plays.

Fantasy Football Play Caller Profile:

With only one year as an offensive coordinator, new head coach and play-caller Zac Taylor takes over a Cincinnati Bengals team that is looking for its identity. During his time with the Dolphins, Taylor leaned heavily on the passing game averaging 592 attempts (61%) in comparison to 372 carries (39%) of total plays.

The pass volume wasn’t the only thing that stood out when I took a deeper dive into his offensive history. The inability to generate explosive plays and score points was significant, as the Dolphins finished 26th in total yards and 27th in scoring.

While it is hard to put a ton of stock in just one season of play-calling data, the Dolphins became more pass oriented with each year that he was on staff. (2012-504), (2013-594), (2014-595), (2015-588).

The season after he left Miami, the Dolphins went from 588 pass attempts to 477 in what was a complete philosophy change from Taylor. I would expect this style of play to be brought over to Cincinnati as he has a veteran quarterback and some playmakers at receiver.
