The 2019 college football season is right around the corner and these 15 players are poised for breakout seasons that’ll make them household names.

It’s hard to believe we are just days away from the 2019 college football season. Fans everywhere feel like little kids waiting patiently for Christmas morning and that will come on Aug. 24 with Florida and Miami facing off with a nice rivalry game to start the year.

National title contenders are tough to judge at this point, but someone has to step up and push the likes of Alabama and Clemson this time around. Those two have battled back and forth for the national title over the past few years — with the exception of the 2017 season when Georgia lost a thriller to the Tide in overtime.

The nation’s top teams will need some highly regarded players with little to no stats to step up and become stars in order to compete for both conference and national titles.

Every year we see breakout stars and they’ve been extremely impactful lately. Look at Jake Fromm with Georgia who led the Bulldogs to the title game as a freshman or Tua Tagovailoa who threw the game-winning touchdown pass for Alabama in that championship game in 2017 as a true freshman as well. Then there’s Trevor Lawrence who started for Clemson in 2018, taking Kelly Bryant’s job and led the Tigers to a national title.

While quarterbacks may be the most popular picks for breakout candidates, they aren’t limited to just one position. Who are the top 15 breakout candidates in college football for the 2019 season?
