Ranking the top 10 tailgating spots in college football
By Phil Poling
With one of college football’s grandest stadiums and a mascot to match, Ohio State easily makes our list for one of the best tailgates. Happening in Columbus, you can shout two simple letters and create thousands of friends you’ll never get to know. When I say, “O-H,” you say, “I-O.”
O-H!
I-O!
It’s not a very clever chant, but it gets the job done. And you can hear this as early as 5 p.m. on the Thursday before games, that’s when tailgaters are allowed to start setting up for Saturday games – two days prior! If that’s not tailgating at its finest, I don’t know what is. Weather doesn’t affect Buckeye fans, either, even when it’s below freezing they come out in full force.
Florida Atlantic, Cincinnati, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Wisconsin, Maryland and Penn State all travel to Columbus in 2019 to meet the Buckeyes at Ohio Stadium.
