Taking a look at 10 players who are excellent values at their current average draft positions, making them great targets for fantasy football owners who are drafting soon.

As we near the kickoff of 2019 NFL action, many fantasy football drafts are happening this weekend. So here we will take a look at 10 players you should consider targeting in your drafts. These players are not necessarily cheap, but they are affordable. They represent great value at their current ADP (average draft position), meaning they are likely to outscore the players surrounding them in the draft.

We will start at the top of the draft board and work our way down. Let’s dive in.

Target No. 1

The first player you should consider targeting is Tyreek Hill. Hill is currently going in the second round of most drafts. However, he is worthy of a first-round pick statistically. In fact, last season he had 87 receptions for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns, good for the second-most fantasy points at the wide receiver position (behind only DeAndre Hopkins).

While Hopkins is being drafted around No. 6 or 7 overall, for some reason Hill is not being selected until a round later. This is strange and is likely related to all of the off-field buzz around Hill this offseason. Either way, he represents excellent value in the back half of the first round or early second round. He has an incredible quarterback in an excellent offensive system and is in the center of his prime at 25 years old. Draft with confidence.

Target No. 2

The second player you should consider targeting is Julian Edelman. Although Edelman was suspended for the first four weeks of last season, he still managed an excellent stat line (74 receptions for 850 yards and 6 touchdowns). If you extrapolated that pace across a full 16-game season, he would have ended up with 99 receptions (on 144 targets) for 1,133 yards and 8 touchdowns.

If you add in his rushing stats, he would have finished last season with the ninth-most fantasy points among wide receivers, above Mike Evans. Evans is currently being drafted in the second round. That means Edelman is an excellent value, even in the third round – but he is being taken in the fourth on average.
