Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: September 6th, 2019

Tonight’s Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks slate features 15 games and plenty of areas to exploit. With a handful of high-priced pitchers available, finding value will be imperative for success.
We’ll be aiming to highlight MLB DFS picks from the perspective of batted ball data, batter splits, stolen base upside, and pricing discrepancies.

Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Standout Batted Ball Stats

Aledmys Diaz – DK $3900, FD $2800

Although Aledmys Diaz’s box scores aren’t all that pretty, his recent batted ball numbers are significantly better than normal. This would point to positive regression to come. In the last 15 days, his batted ball distance is up 43 feet, his hard-hit percentage is up 16%, and his exit velocity is up 6 MPH, over his yearly averages. Diaz is an attractive, “buy low” spot, on both sites.

Tyler France – DK $3400, FD $2300

Unlike Diaz, Tyler France has actually seen a significant price increase. Even with the increase, France may be worth a look considering how elevated his batted ball stats have been since his return to the lineup. In the last 15 days, his batted ball distance is up 27 feet, his hard-hit percentage is up 15%, and his exit velocity is up 4 MPH. France will be in play on both sites, but offers massive value on FanDuel, at $2300.

Batter Splits

Joc Pederson – DK $5000, FD $3900

This shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Joc Pederson finds himself in this category yet again. Pederson and the Dodgers will face righty, Jeff Samardzija. Pederson is much more effective against right-handed pitching, with a .378 wOBA split (.118 better than when facing a lefty) and a .321 ISO split (.234 better than when facing a lefty).

Stolen Base Upside

Tommy Pham – DK $4800, FD $3700

Tommy Pham and the Tampa Bay runners will have a bit of stolen base upside tonight, as they face the righty, Clay Buchholz. In Buchholz’s return he’s allowed three stolen bases over the course of just 36.1 innings pitched. Pham is the leading base stealer on the Rays, with 19 stolen bases, tied for 12th most in the majors.

Pricing Discrepancies

A.J. Pollack – DK $3800, FD $3800

Kris BryantDK $4600, FD $4300

Ramon Laureano – DK $4900 , FD $2800

Wilmer Flores – DK $4800, FD $3000
