Early DraftKings CFB picks September 7: Hasta Laviska, baby

DraftKings set aside 11 afternoon games for our early DraftKings CFB tournaments. There are some good matchups here. The Cincinnati defense against Ohio State’s offense. Old Big 12 foes West Virginia and Missouri face off. Two superb run teams in Army and Michigan are on here. The high flying Purdue offense against the Vandy D.

More from DraftKings

It doesn’t stop there! Later in the afternoon we have the newfangled Ramblin Wreck spread against a USF team that was ground into the turf by Wisconsin last week. A&M and Clemson, which was one of the better games of last season. Nebraska and Colorado, a rivalry that hasn’t faded even with the teams changing conferences. This is what DraftKings CFB should be like!

We will try to give a few options at each position. Due to regulations by DraftKings, I cannot provide a sample lineup, but any lineups I use will be formed from players mentioned in this piece. Once you start building a lineup for yourself, you can see how it all fits together.

Last night was a nice win on the night slate. Virginia not using Taulapapa at all hurt the bottom line. So did the injury to Mahone. That derailed the early slate. The night slate was nice even though Eno was 99.8% owned.

The scoring for NCAA football is much the same as it is for the NFL with one notable exception: the super flex! That means aside from the flex position which is RB/WR, you can add another player from any position! Want four running backs? Go right ahead! Five wide receivers? Sure! Two quarterbacks? Of course! Just stay under the salary cap!

The super flex replaces the defense, which is essential in college football. This is all about the offense. DraftKings CFB scoring realizes that!
