You knew that Duke would be on this list, and it is only a surprise that Cameron Indoor Stadium isn’t the most dominant home court advantage in college basketball. Before we dive into the nitty gritty, let’s take a little look at the history of this fine facility.

Cameron Indoor was designed by former Duke coach Eddie Cameron in 1935, and the stadium was opened just over five years later. Duke fans immediately fell in love with their new building, creating one of the nation’s most intimidating environments.

Thanks to the arena’s tight quarters, the Cameron Crazies are often right on top of the action, and they let the opposing team hear it. Sound levels in Cameron Indoor Stadium can reach as high as 121.3 decibels, which is the equivalent of having a jackhammer blasting for an entire game.

Tickets to Duke home games are a hot commodity, and students have been known to camp out in tents to gain access to marquee home games, like Duke’s matchups with hated rival North Carolina. That passion and dedication has led to an excellent home court advantage for Duke, but they still aren’t the top school on this list.
