Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten talked to FanSided about rejoining the team, Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott and his friendship with Courtyard by Marriott.

Jason Witten is back in the game. After a year in the Monday Night Football booth, the future Hall of Fame tight end rejoined the Dallas Cowboys and scored a touchdown in Week 1 against the New York Giants.

Throughout our conversation, Witten talked about Zeke, Dak and his partnership with Courtyard by Marriott. Witten is excited about all of the above. The former Tennessee Volunteer talked about why the famed hotel chain is providing the opportunity for one lucky fan to have a sleepover at Hard Rock Stadium as part of a celebration of the NFL’s 100th anniversary.

“Courtyard is the official hotel of the NFL and it’s a great contest for friends to go in there and share their stories and who knows, they may get selected. That would be a great experience for them.”

Witten also talked about them maturation of Prescott, who threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns in Dallas’ aforementioned 35-17 victory. In the final year of his rookie contract, he’s seen the Cowboys provide extensions for linebacker Jaylon Smith, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, right tackle La’El Collins, and Elliott. Prescott, however, is waiting, but showing why he’s deserving of a new deal.

“For Dak, I’ve seen it all being produced at a high level, Witten said. “He is the captain, he is the leader of the Dallas Cowboys. His teammates, coaching staff, support staff, they would run through a wall for him.”

With Witten, Prescott and Elliott leading the way, the Cowboys have a terrific chance to win their first Super Bowl since 1995.
