Everything you need to know to prepare you for the upcoming edition of WWE NXT for September 11 on the WWE Network.

DISCLAIMER: WWE NXT is a pre-taped wrestling program, and results of the show have already hit the internet ahead of time. We will not be spoiling those results here at FanSided; thanks for reading.

This is it, the end of an era. This week marks the last taped episode (for the time being) of WWE NXT on the WWE Network. Starting next week, the show will move to a live two-hour format, which will start as a split between the USA Network and the WWE Network, before going for a complete two hours on USA starting October 2. What an interesting date to choose to make this a full-time ordeal. But we digress.

But before we get there, we have this week’s show. A potential dream match in the NXT women’s division is about to go down as Rhea Ripley, the former NXT UK Women’s Champion, will go one-on-one with the current NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler. This should be an excellent matchup and since it seems to be a non-title contest one would have to think a victory from Ripley would put her squarely in the hunt for the next shot at the Queen of Spade’s title.

Date: Wednesday, September 11, 2019

We will also hear from Johnny Gargano tonight for the first time since his devastating loss at NXT TakeOver: Toronto against Adam Cole. Rumors are running rampant on what the future of Johnny Wrestling is in the black and gold brand. We should get all of those answers and hopefully more from Gargano tonight on the WWE Network.

This is the current line up of what we can expect to see this Wednesday night on WWE NXT!

– Shayna Baszler goes one-on-one with Rhea Ripley
– Pete Dunne in action against Angel Garza
– Cameron Grimes looks to climb his way back up the NXT ladder against Raul Mendoza
– Johnny Gargano to speak on his future in NXT

After tonight, NXT can no longer be referred to as just simply WWE’s developmental brand. Once they move to the USA Network they have to be recognized as a third brand within the company. Are you excited for what’s to come for NXT? What are you hoping to see in the weeks and months to come? Sound off in the comments section below.
