Zinedine Zidane is now in his fourth season in charge of Real Madrid, but his side still doesn’t have anything close to a recognizable playing style. That didn’t matter so much when the club was winning three straight Champions League titles, of course, but repeating such European success seems very unlikely at present.
Similarly, despite spending well over £250 million in the summer, the team hasn’t looked any different so far. However, injuries have certainly played their part in that, and Eden Hazard could make his competitive debut here.
Levante also didn’t have the best of seasons last term, although they eventually finished seven points clear of the relegation zone. While their summer transfer window passed without any big-money arrivals or departures, they did at least retain the services of captain Jose Luis Morales.
