After being traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Oakland Raiders, Brown had a variety of issues that forced his release on the Saturday of Week 1. Brown was signed by the Patriots to a one-year, $15 million deal the same day. Brown’s accuser, former trainer Britney Taylor, will meet with the NFL on Monday according to reports. After league commissioner Roger Goodell and other officials speak with Taylor and her representation, they will likely confer and eventually make a determination whether Brown will continue to be eligible for game action, or placed on the commissioner’s exempt list. In the latter scenario, Brown would still be paid but would not be allowed at the team facilities.
