Fantasy football week two is in the books. Which players stood out? Who should you look to acquire? Who should you be worried about? Let’s take a look at this week’s dudes, duds, and deceivers.

Dude of the Week

Dalvin Cook, Running Back, Minnesota Vikings

After making the “Dudes” list a week ago, Dalvin Cook backed up his week one performance with another outstanding game week two against the rival Green Bay Packers. After taking 21 carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns against Atlanta last week, Cook received another 20 carries this week, racking up 154 rushing yards and a 75-yard touchdown.

The workload is clearly there for Cook, who seems to be carrying the Vikings offense with quarterback Kirk Cousins struggling through two weeks. After the Minnesota offense threw the ball just 10 total times in week one, Cook was more involved in the passing game in week two catching three passes for 37 yards.

Cook is the only running back to score 26+ ESPN PPR fantasy points in each of his first two games, and is the second-highest scoring back in fantasy behind Chargers running back Austin Ekeler.

If you were able to snag Cook in the second round, congratulations. You got yourself a steal. If you took a chance on him in the first, mad props. Given, we have only played two weeks but Cook looks like one of the most solid and reliable fantasy running backs out there.

As I mentioned last week, talent has never been the question with Cook. We have seen these bursts of elite fantasy production out of him in the past. The question is always can he stay healthy? Can he handle this workload of over 20 touches a game? Time will tell. But Cook looks like a true top fantasy pick going forward.
