DFS advice – D/ST to start

Patriots D/ST vs. NYJ

After dismantling the Dolphins into obliteration, New England now sets their sights on their next victim. An old foe who always tries to take them down but has no such luck most of the time. I’m talking of course about the New York Jets. Gang Green has been reduced to their third-string quarterback in Luke Falk and their offense looked uninspiring against the Browns on Monday Night Football. Cleveland’s defense is suspect right now and if the Jets weren’t able to score many points on them, then they are heading into a no-fly zone playing New England. New York is in for a world of hurt this Sunday. Start the Pats if you have them.

Cowboys D/ST vs. MIA

A lot of folks will be targeting the Cowboys’ defense in Week 3 and for good reason too. The Miami Dolphins will be visiting and if it’s anything like the last two games, Dallas is in for a treat. Baltimore had two picks and a fumble recovery in their rout over Miami in Week 1. That was followed up by a complete decimation by the New England Patriots the next week when they had four interceptions and a pair of touchdowns. The Cowboys have struggled the last two weeks against the Giants and Redskins, but a chance for redemption appears to be in order for Week 3.

Packers D/ST vs. DEN

The Green Bay Packers have taken some significant strides this year towards improving their defense. Through the first two weeks of the season, they have allowed the second-fewest points per game to opposing offenses (9.5/gm). Last week, the Pack shut down Minnesota, who supposedly have one of the premier passing offenses in the league consisting of Kirk Cousins, Adam Thielen, and Stefon Diggs. Now Green Bay will welcome to town the Denver Broncos who have a below-average offense in 2019. The Packers’ defense makes for a solid start during this week’s slate of games.
