Fantasy football lineup advice: Week 3 – BOOM or BUST

There’s no sugar-coating it, after knocking most of Week 1’s fantasy picks out of the park, Week 2 was a bit rough. Many of the “BOOM” picks didn’t exactly “BOOM” like we predicted but were good enough to help out your fantasy football lineup advice, nonetheless. Some of the “BUST picks were just flat-out missed, as Russell Wilson threw for 300 yards against a struggling Pittsburgh secondary and Aaron Jones came out ballin’ against a strong Minnesota D. Larry Fitzgerald also proved us wrong, continuing to look spry in Arizona’s new offense even at the age of 36.

Matt Ryan had an up-and-down game on Sunday Night Football and while Sony Michel had somewhat of a bounce-back week against Miami, a lack of passing-game work and a fumble late in the game had him finish right in RB2 territory. The few bright spots were Kerryon Johnson, Tyrell Williams, and Darren Waller, who all did enough to please owners although their stats didn’t jump off the page. That’s the life of fantasy football. All we can do is make sure we crunch the numbers enough for a nice rebound this week!

"DISCLAIMER: “BOOM or BUST” isn’t exactly a “Start or Sit” column. I identify and provide analysis for players who aren’t a top-tier starting option that I believe will exceed expectations – and also those who will fail to meet them. It should be remembered that these picks are done at the beginning of the week, so better options may surface as the week progresses and we get a better idea on various injuries and player situations. Use your best judgement and keep tabs on news updates around the league up until kickoff on Sunday… Without further ado, let’s dive right into this week’s matchups!"
