Got your Week 3 NFL FanDuel lineups all set and looking for a good reason to avoid tinkering with them? Make some more lineups on some smaller slates! This article will focus on the top plays for the early only slate on NFL FanDuel.

Welcome once again to FanSided Fantasy for your DFS research. This article covers the early only slate on NFL FanDuel, and it is a slightly smaller one with just eight games total. I will highlight my favorite plays at each position, focusing on a mix of GPP and cash game targets.

After breaking down each position, a sample cash game lineup focusing on the safest, and sometimes the highest owned plays on the slate will follow on the last slide.

For the newbies, NFL FanDuel cash games are simply the games in the lobby that are 50/50 or close to that to win. These are basically all of the games other than the tournaments, and guaranteed prize pool tournaments (GPP’s). Head-to-Head’s (H2H), 50/50, and double-ups would best summarize cash games. In these contests, we generally want to target volume from the skill positions and the safest combination of high-floor players we can possibly roster.

Last week was tough to stomach. I was able to hang on in my 50/50’s despite not rostering the Patriots defense. It was a miracle I guess as the sample lineup still put up 126.32, and barely snuck in cash and just missed GPP. Lesson learned. I mean I wrote up the Patriots right here in this article, and still decided to pay down to Pittsburgh for more studs.

This week, we have the Dolphins on the slate who will face the Cowboys making America’s Team a solid defense to target, along with New England again who will now face the Jets. The Pats are averaging 23.5 FDP per game through the first two games, and with the New York down to Luke Falk as their starting QB, I will not make the mistake of fading them again this week. Let’s move along and find out who else I like on this early only NFL FanDuel slate for week three.
