Fantasy Football – Year to Date Impacts

So much has happened over these first three weeks of this young NFL season. Injuries and breakout star storylines continue to litter the headlines for 2019. Today we will take a look at some players and the impact they have had up to this point in 2019.

As I have previously stated in my other articles, the waiver wire can be your best friend. Staying up to date on the most current trends and which players are on the rise is crucial. It’s always best to stay ahead of the curve, but it’s also important to note that you shouldn’t just jump into something headfirst without weighing all the possibilities.

Just because a player has a massive fantasy performance one week doesn’t necessarily mean they will be able to sustain that kind of production throughout the entire season. They could be one-hit wonders where their incredible performance was just a fluke and nothing more.

Additionally, I want to discuss the impact of how one player’s performance can affect some of their teammates’. Mainly, I’m referring to how a quarterback can positively or negatively change how well their receivers do in a game.

Receivers are dependent on their quarterback’s level of play and ability to get them the ball in a consistent manner. Of course, the same can be said about how a receiver must be able to catch the ball in order for their quarterback to thrive and gain confidence. They work hand-in-hand and for fantasy’s purposes that can be either really good or really bad.

So to sum up this intro before we get into the analytics, we will review some breakout performances by some lesser known names prior to when the regular season began, as well as the effects of how one player’s performance can impact another’s in fantasy.
