Fantasy football picks: Week 3  SNF Browns vs. Rams

Jared Goff – Goff is not a flashy player, but he gets the job done for the Rams. This isn’t my favorite play today, but on single game slates, the quarterback is king, and we at least want the one who is less likely to turn the ball over. Baker has four turnovers already, and the Rams defense is just too good for me to rationalize playing him. While Goff has been pretty uninspiring himself this year, with a 62% completion rate, three touchdowns and three turnovers, including two fumbles. The offensive line has been pretty shaky, which obviously hasn’t helped considering he has two fumbles. I think this will be a solid game for Goff, and on a single game slate, he will be a popular play in cash games.

Cooper Kupp – Really, you are going to mention Kupp over the great OBJ? Yes, I am taking the 3k discount, and going with the man who is seeing a massive workload to start the year. Cooper has 19 targets, playing 91% of the offensive snaps, and just last week went for 120 yards. The thing about this play is that he will likely see a much better individual match-up compared to the other high-end receivers. Kupp runs quite a bit of plays out of the slot, and he will move around the field lining up on the outside for screens, post routes, the occasional deep route you name it. He is also Goff’s preferred target in short-yardage spots, where we could see the real money be made tonight. I think the game script is perfect for Kupp, and he should post a solid stat line.
