Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson gave us insane highlights (Video)
Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson put on a spectacle for NFL fans in Week 3, and while the Kansas City Chiefs prevailed 33-28 over the Baltimore Ravens, both quarterbacks can hold their heads high after leaving it all out on the field.
Coming into Week 3, NFL fans couldn’t sit still at the prospect of watching a quarterback duel between Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
Mahomes has picked up where he left off as the reigning NFL MVP, including an insane second quarter against the Oakland Raiders last week in which he threw four touchdowns. Meanwhile, Jackson has burst onto the scene as an MVP candidate in his own right, one year after leading the Ravens to the postseason as a rookie in relief of veteran Joe Flacco.
Jackson began his Week 3 game against the fearsome Chiefs offense by having a slow start, as he looked uncharacteristically inaccurate. But Jackson righted the ship in the second half, including leading the Ravens to a 15-point fourth quarter.
The Chiefs proved to be too much for the Ravens to overcome, but both Jackson and Mahomes had their fair share of highlight-reel plays.
First, Mahomes and Demarcus Robinson hooked up for another incredible touchdown pass.
Then, Jackson showed why he has some of the best jukes in the NFL.
The Mahomes and Mecole Hardman is going to be lethal all season long. This play? An 83-yard touchdown. Hardman is so fun to watch.
But this fourth-down conversion throw from Jackson to turn a sure-fire sack into a near-touchdown was a stroke of magic.

Jackson and the Ravens continued their wild fourth quarter with this play. Once again, it looked like Jackson would be sacked, but he evaded the pressure and threw the ball completely across his body downfield to Willie Snead. His receiver had a whole lot of work to do, but somehow came up with the first-down grab.

And then Jackson cut the Chiefs lead to five with this jaw-dropping touchdown scamper.

Yeah, this was an insane game, and it’s safe to say it exceeded expectations. The Ravens looked dead in the water against the Chiefs unstoppable offense, but Mahomes and Co. were nearly shocked by a wonderful fourth-quarter from the resilient Jackson.
In the end, Jackson finished the game with 267 passing yards, no picks, 46 rushing yards, and one rushing touchdown.
Mahomes was even better with three touchdowns, zero interceptions, 374 passing yards, and an average of over 10.0 yards per attempt. That’s what he’s still the MVP front-runner, as impressive as Jackson and others are.
