NFL DFS Week 4: Cash game breakdown
NFL DFS Week 4: Fantasy football cash game breakdown
David Johnson – FanDuel $6800 DraftKings $6800
I feel like I’ve said these exact same words already once this season but I’m saying it again – “Wow David Johnson is super cheap this week!”. I don’t find the Seahawks defense to be particularly scary and there is certainly a game script where the Cardinals are forced to play quickly and from behind so he could catch a ton of dump offs making him more valuable to us from a fantasy football perspective on DraftKings. Unfortunately, he hasn’t seen quite as many targets as other running backs around the league and we thought Leftwich would get him going more but that hasn’t been the case yet. I still think DJ at this price will garner some solid ownership though and he projects to do well.
Kerryon Johnson – FanDuel $6500 DraftKings $5400
Kerryon my wayward Johnson…we thought we would see better days my friend. All of us here at FanSided fantasy were quite high on Kerryon coming into the year thinking he’d be the dominant force we know he can be. He’s sort of turning into a CJ Spiller type in a sense where he’s very hyped and you know the talent is there but it just doesn’t translate. I’m exaggerating with that comparison but really KJ has not been producing like I thought he would. He’s catching some passes and he’s getting quite a few carries but they’re really just not going anywhere. This week though, he’s in the highest total game on the slate and you should want pieces of it from all angles. His prices is particularly great on DraftKings but I can see the argument for playing him on both.
Chris Thompson – FanDuel $5300 DraftKings $4500
This is yet another cheap play that is probably better on DraftKings but technically fine on either site. A rather shocking stat I saw on my guy Ian Haritz timeline (@Iharitz) was that Chris Thompson is actually tied for the lead in targets for running backs with 23. Something else that’s crazy is that Leonard Fournette is on that list tied for 3rd with Austin Ekeler with 20 targets. It’s good to track those sorts of things so you know whether your running back is going to be catching passes as that will always give you a safe floor in cash games.
