Rizzla breaks down and discusses the rationale behind his Yahoo NFL Cup Round 4 DFS lineup.

As always I like to start by reflecting on the previous week’s lineup. There were more misses than hits in Yahoo NFL Week 3, so we will start there. Despite 16 combined targets, Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews both laid eggs in a prime blow up spot against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brown saw some double coverage while Andrews could not make the most of his seven looks. Emmanuel Sanders was all but invisible against the Green Bay Packers.

He managed just two receptions for a measly 10 yards receiving. D.K. Metcalf saw six targets, but hauled in just two for 67 receiving yards. He is bound to breakout, but Week 3 was not the week. Matt Breida put up 88 yards from scrimmage on 16 touches but saw Jeffrey Wilson take two more goal line plunges.

On the hits side Dalvin Cook and Lamar Jackson did their jobs and provided over 20 fantasy points apiece. Jackson saved his fantasy day with his legs, while Cook continued to assert himself as one of the league’s best.

D.J. Moore sat back while Curtis Samuel led the receiver group in targets, but was still able to parlay his two touches (one carry, one reception) for 64 yards from scrimmage and a score. The Minnesota Vikings defense did their job by tallying four sacks and one interception, while surrendering just 14 points to the Oakland Raiders.

For this week’s NFL Yahoo Cup free roll I followed my usual strategy of filling defense, tight end and quarterback first by identifying the best potential values and then doing the same for both running back and receiver.
